Twitter plans to open an office in Brazil
Twitter has a very ambitious expansion plan and is planning to open an office in Brazil this year, that would add to those that are installed in Tokyo and Dublin, reports the Financial Times. Also is recruiting in Germany, Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands.
The idea is to promote the commercial area of the social network (eg selling sponsored tweets) in Brazil, before the World Cup in 2014 and the Olympics in 2016. Yesterday, the company also announced its partnership with the firm IMS for the sale of “products and solutions” in Latin America.
According to the Financial Times, Twitter is working on solutions that enable multinational brands manage their campaigns in different countries from a single account.
