Vest designed for gamers to feel the bullets received in war games
Kickstarter is a wonderful way to democratize creative and entrepreneurial nature of the average Internet user. Some want to simply create board games, others want to produce original plays.
But there are some others, especially gamers, who want to create the most original game system and crazier never seen before, such as the creators of ARAIG.
This kind of vest futuristic, whose name means As Real As It Gets (As real as you receive it), according to its developers, it gives the third dimension is missing from the games. As they say, play games in two dimensions (or rather, two-way), that our gaming experience is limited “to the sight and sound” and that araig vest helps to immerse the player in the game of war through sensory technology.
The suit ARAIG works with what they call the exoskeleton, a decoder, a cell energy (battery) and a power cord. The exoskeleton is connected to the decoder, which in turn connects to the gaming device of choice (PC or console). In the neck, the suit has a set of six speakers that provide surround sound very close to the ears, which further increases the immersion in the game.
The system provides a feedback loop of the game information. If during the game, you get a bullet in the chest, the sensor located there, produce a muscle spasm in the area, to recreate, in a way, the experience of shooting received (obviously very small). There is nothing to fear, no pain nigún feel terrible. The system allows you to live an immersive experience while playing.
Developers are asking only $ 900,000 in contributions, initially intended to finish adjustments and corrections and begin industrial production vest.
Larger incentives to attract investors, have been the sale of some specimens ARAIG base model. It sold a hundred in just five days.
At the highest level of investment, it offers the investor, being invited to the launch party in Toronto as part of the testing team from March 2014.
The project is very ambitious. The question is, if a good number of Gamers would be interested in increasing the intensity of your gaming experience this. Immersion in video games most users, has had little to do with the physical experience. Rather, it was the mental interpretation of its own efforts, effects and actions during the game. The experience is lived in the mind.
You could be completely still, but I really feel like you shoot your enemies. We could generalize this experience, because each individual is different. Some prefer the keyboard, gamepad others, and still others prefer to move to the Wimotte, the Playstation Move or Kinect.
If Rift Oculus glasses have interested many gamers, perhaps ARAIG is the next step in the search for greater sensations in the world of video games, especially FPS games. Do you do you think?
