VIA unveils its mini-PC of $49
After Raspberry Pi , the little $ 35 computer that fits in the palm of your hand, Intel imitated the idea with the NUC , a slightly larger model but with better performance . Now is via VIA who shows us the apc (Android PC) model based on a motherboard neo-itx format, half the size of a mini-ITX.
The platform moves this invention is a SoC arm 11 CPU running at WonderMedia with 800MHz and 512MB of DDR3 RAM, also showing massive 2GB of internal storage expandable via microSD. There are no fewer than four USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet, integrated audio and D-Sub and HDMI.
This machine consumes a maximum of 4W 13.5W under load and at rest, being able to play 720p video on an external monitor via the HDMI output, through the Android 2.3 operating system, which was amended by VIA to provide better support a conventional mouse and keyboard.
The product will be available for sale to the public during the month of June to the aforementioned price of $ 49.
