Vine lost a lot of presence on Twitter after the release of video on Instagram
Instagram’s new feature which lets you upload videos to the network has had a fairly strong momentum: 5 million videos uploaded during the first 24 hours , probably thanks to many people who discovered that looking cool in videos is more difficult (and rewarding) to in a photo.
But Instagram has had success with his videos, in came the situation has been reversed. On 20 June, and according to statistics from Topsy reported from Marketing Land, shared little more than 1.5 million videos on Twitter, down 40% from the previous day. And during the next week things have followed swooping, reaching 900,000 Twitter links scattered.
The analysis is curious (to put it in some way), because, contrary to what one might think, links to Instagram really have not had a boom comparable to the fall of the same in Vine.
Of course, the only study of the links posted on Twitter of either service is not exactly a “study” ultra precise situation, but it serves to get an idea of the overall picture. Like it or not, the platform on which measure is one of the largest social networks in the world.
Surely Vine are aware of the situation, and studying strategies to further enhance its offering with a competitor now really popular.
