We are getting closer to having the speeder bike of Star Wars
The Californian company Aerofex is developing a bike that moves floating in the air a few inches of soil and is controlled by two levers at the knees which allows the vehicle to meet the balance swinging and pilot. The design uses the mechanics of flying a helicopter to levitate the vehicle and thus cross through any terrain, something like a Hoverbike Australian who appeared a few years ago but with superior stability.
While its first test flight occurred in 2008, it ended in flames so after years of testing and development ensured that the vehicle can lead to stability, can make tight turns and float without moving around. The bike can float up to 4 feet in height and reach a speed of 48 kilometers per hour.
The company has not clarified whether it is available for people to buy the vehicle. A reasonable approach to the difficulties in developing a safe and stable vehicle that achieves float through the air, but when ready, will be ideal for a walk through the forests of Endor from Return of the Jedi.
