Wikileaks came to accept credit card donations through Iceland
A year ago Icelandic court ordered the company Valitor – formerly known as Visa Iceland and that processes credit card payments on the island – which again accept donations made with credit cards Wikileaks blocked after these donations from Visa, MasterCard and PayPal. Valitor appealed but the Supreme Court of Iceland ruled against her just last April.
To the delight of the organization founded by Julian Assange , Wikileaks announced today that Valitor again accept credit card donations to recognized MasterCard leak site.
“The decision of the Supreme Court of Iceland was in favor of Wikileaks and DataCell (hosting provider), but did not include the damage they are determined separately according to Icelandic law. Now he is preparing a claim for compensation juudicial. We estimate the damage at $ 72.7 million, ” Wikileaks said .
