X86 motherboard manufacturers show their alternatives to Raspberry Pi

No doubt the emergence of successful integrated mini Raspberry Pi set a precedent in the industry, and many who have been more or less tried to emulate success, with similar proposals as it is based on ARM SoC (among them we can mention the Android VIA APC ) and other proposals based on x86 as the NUC Intel or AMD Livebox .

Many manufacturers of motherboards for x86 microprocessors also offer their own alternatives to Raspberry Pi, which are based on the atom microprocessors economic and and Zacate APUs and motherboards consisting of “all-in-one “(CPU + chipset on the motherboard soldiers) Mini-ITX format, to awaken the interest of more than one.

The best of these alternatives is that they have very attractive prices, being able to find them from $50 (Newegg price), and a wide range among which we can mention:

  • -I ECS VX900 VIA L2007 1.6 GHz (U.S. $50)
  • E35LM1 ASRock AMD E-240 (U.S. $55)
  • JetWay JTAE24G AMD E-240 (U.S. $70)
  • Foxconn Intel Atom D2500 D250S (U.S. $70)
  • Gigabyte GA-E350N AMD E-350 (U.S. $75)
  • ASRock AD2700B-ITX Intel Atom D2700 (U.S. $75)

These mini-integrated motherboards although not noted for its stellar performance, can move without inconvenience modern Microsoft operating systems such as Windows 7 and Windows 8, along with a wide variety of Linux distributions.
