In this way, ADSL2 takes advantage of the spaces that are not used by the buffer in order to achieve an increase in download speed of up to 50 Kbps and at the same time allows the bandwidth reserved for the telephone service to be used for data transmission, achieving an upload speed of 256 Kbps.
Previously, the time to make the initial connection between the provider and client was 10 seconds with classic ADSL, while with ADSL2 this time has been reduced to 3 seconds.
Improved speed with multiple phone lines
This new ADSL2 technology allows you to use more than one phone line to provide this service to a single terminal, which allows you to improve the speed of the connection. For all this it includes in its standard different ATM standards referring to the specifications of “Inverse Multiplexing for ATM” or also known as IMA.
This is what ends up allowing the demultiplexing of the different ADSL connections of the various telephone lines to be brought to a single device, which will considerably increase the downstream rate. Therefore, from the ATM layer all the data that are received through the sub-layer that is provided by IMA are processed in order to be able to process the data that arrive from the physical ADSL layers.
All this means that each terminal treats all these phone lines as a single connection. In order to be able to do this, a series of sub-protocols arrive from the desynchronization of the physical ADSL2 devices, where they treat the information received from the devices when they have different latencies.

Superbanda is another provider of this type of service. It is opening several of its own centres with the aim of offering a better service. This is because it has had many problems in recent months with France Telecom, the company with which it works today. However, Superbanda is characterized by offering the lowest rates in the market.
In this way, Superband offers ADSL2+ speed of up to 20MB/1MB through a WiFi router with a 24-hour connection schedule. Among the added services you can find what are 15 pop accounts of 100 MB and a web space of 50 MB.
Jazztel is one of the most popular companies in Spain and became the first to offer this type of ADSL2+ broadband connection system. Due to this and to its great popularity in the country, it has been presenting some inconveniences at the time of installing this service, since there are so many clients who want to join them, they have presented many limitations in the procedures.
This has undoubtedly caused complaints about the delay in services, as it usually takes a long time from the time the service is requested until it starts working. In the case of the speed offered by Jazztel it is also 20 megas / 1 mega, where you must use a router or USB modem of either of these two models: Huawei SmartAX MT882 or Comtrend 536.
Unlike the other two companies, in this case customers will be able to enjoy connection speeds between 16 and 18 megabytes as long as they are close to the exchanges, otherwise this will decrease according to the distance between the supplier and the customer.
